Realist narrative advertising
There are many different formats of advertising and one of them is a narrative advert. This advert will have some sort of story line to it and have either someone talking you through the story or possibly text showing throughout the video for you to follow. It is used to show the viewers a realistic side of it and make the audience feel they are watching something believable that could happen in their household.
Anti-realist narrative advertisement
The second type of advertisement is anti-realist. This type of advertisement aims to present the viewer with a situation or concept which is clearly made up and not realistic. They usually use some sort of humour in the advert.
Animation
This advert consists of characters that are animated with voice overs. The video below is a good example of an animation advert because there are obviously no real life characters in the advert and you can hear the different voice overs.
Documentary
This type of advert is a documentary as the title says. I would say that this is a good advert because as well as documenting what the elegant people of Congo look like and how they live, it is not what most people would expect and the advert is actually quite entertaining because of the ridiculous variety of the colours of the suits.
Talking Heads
A talking head advert is basically someone that will be talking directly towards the camera and it gets the message across better. These type of adverts are usually used by charities and similar categories. I think this is a good advert because they are honestly actually trying to save people money for the same quality products but for a cheaper price, this advert probably appeals to people because they appreciate what they are trying to say and save them money.
Stand alone
A stand alone advert is a very rare advert which is a one-off this is because the company will use a lot of money to create the advert and they will not start their next advert the same way that the previous one ended.
Series
A series advert is an advert which you could say has short episodes over time. For example in this Gillette advert they always go on about how sharp their blades are and how many blades they use on their shavers. They also include many well known celebrities but they all have a sports background. Having famous sportsman in an advert will capture the attention of the viewers which is good for the company.
Please see me. Still lots of work to do on this Blog.

Make sure you explain how each advert is a good example of the form you have described.
